Ford confident on govt. help

Sep. 15 - Ford's CEO Mulally confident the U.S. government will come through with $25 billion in loans for the auto industry to reduce dependence on foreign oil.
Ford CEO Alan Mulally says he's confident the U.S. will follow-through with plans to lend the auto industry $25 billion dollars to increase fuel efficiency and develop new technology to help reduce dependence on oil. Mulally, speaking at the 2008 Reuters Autos Summit in Detroit on Monday, says "we are absolutely committed to do it in a partnership with the government because I really think that energy security and fuel efficiency are going to be very important to all of us going forward."
